You're never too old for mayhem.. Busier, funnier, and more involving.. Much of the enjoyment comes from seeing these respected thespians so thoroughly embody cartoon characters; it's like Sidney Lumet directing Space Jam.. Fortunately, bigger usually equals better here, and when it doesn't, it equals just as good.. A summer firecracker.. Tim Roth dominates as the big bad ape, the set design is inspired, but you might say the human element is lacking. And that ending? Possibly written by a chimp...
